The highlight for me followed the reunion when Emery Sexton, Bud Turner and his Family and I went in search of the Log Cabin built by Arris and Thomas Alexander when they first arrived in Kentucky. There were a few times that I think we all thought we weren't going to find it but suddenly there it was. I can't speak for the others but for me as we rounded the curve and started down the hill seeing for the first time the home of our ancestors excitement boiled inside me.

Cabin built by Thomas M. Alexander 1832 Dry Sinking Creek, Wayne Co.

I hope that you are as excited to see the home of Arris, Mahala, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jane, Nancy, James, William Pearce, Junita, William Eli, Emarine, Amanda, Evelyne, and Mahalah as I was. I was also able to see the burial sites of many ancestors for the first time which was another truely wonderful experiance.

As regards the the burial sites of our ancestors I was struck with the search we have all been involved in concerning Nancy Alexander Sexton, I believe we will never know for sure where Nancy is buried as well as many of the other early members of the Family. For that reason I have suggested that we start a fund for the purpose of erecting a monument to those early settlers of the Family at or near the grave site of Arris Alexander in Cooper Cemetary.
