Hiram Sexton was born in Wayne Co.Ky on 18 January 1868. He married Alice Ermarine Gibson daughter of Francis Gibson and Julia Gregory of Wayne County.
Hiram and Alice were married in Wayne Co. Ky in 1892 both Hiram and Alice are buried in the Bethal Cemetary, Greenwood, McCreary Co KY. Hiram died on 13 July 1929 after being shot. The story goes that Hiram had come home from work with a headache, that his daughter Mamie and Raymond Huff were there. Hiram asked Raymond to leave and told Mamie to go to bed. Raymond said who cares and turned the Victoria back on, Hiram then turned it off again and once more asked Raymond to leave. Raymond said "ok" he would leave, but as he left he turned and shot Hiram dead.
Alice Gibson was born 24 November 1872 in Monticello, Wayne County Ky, and died 4 November 1973 at the Pinecrest Nursing Home, Morrow, Ohio she is buried beside Hiram, at Blue John.
According to the 1910 census Hiram and Alice had six(6) children four(4) living. Lige (Eligh), May (Mamie), Flora, Claude. It is said that Claude had a twin that died at birth. There may also have been a daughter Pertila who died at an early age. They later had a son Virgil.

Elijah Sexton born 9 July 1894 in Wayne Co.Ky. died 18 June 1932 in Alpine Ky. married Lula Alma Jones 25 Febuary 1920.Elijah was shot by John Gooden over a girl by the name of Zona Ferris in a small and long gone community of Honey Bee Ky. He lived long enough for someone to get him home and this is where he died. Eligh is buried at Blue John Eljah Sexton and Lula Alma Jones
Mammie Sexton born January 1898 married John Edward Mills, they had one daughter named Ola C. Mills, Mamie died 24 May 1982 in Ohio, she is buried at Blue John.
Flora Ann Sexton born 10 June 1901 in Monticello, Wayne County, Ky died 17 January 1926. Married James E. Garland.
