"Behold, I will send you Elijah the
prophet
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord;
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to
the children,
and the heart of the Children to their fathers,
Malachi 4:5-6

Behold, I will reveal unto you the Priesthood,
by the hand of Elijah the prophet,
before the coming of the Great and Dreadful day of the Lord.
And he shall plant in the hearts of the children
the promises made to the fathers,
and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers.
If it were not so, the whole earth would be
utterly wasted at his coming.

Else what shall they do which are baptized for
the dead, if the dead
rise not at all? Why are they then baptized
for the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:29

Family History
Genealogy has become the number one hobby in the
world since the church of
Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints was organized in
1830. The spirit of Elijah
has truly gone forth in the world and turned the
hearts of the Fathers to their
children and the hearts of the children to their
fathers. This work is going
forth in the earth and being done by even those
who know not why they
do it. Records are being gathered by members
and non members alike.
The temples of the Latter days are being filled
with the work for these people
whose names have been gathered and recorded. It
is wonderful to see this
as I work in the Family History Center in the Moses
Lake Washington
Stake center. I see people who know not a
thing about the church being
so diligent in doing this wonderful work and preparing
the way for the temple
work to be done for their ancestors, not realizing
just how important this
work is that they are spending so many hours at.
I see dedicated Librarians
and workers donating many hours each week to this
work also. I feel the spirit
of Elijah working on them and the patrons that
come in to do this special task.
There are so many wonderful sites on the web
dedicated to genealogy. Some of
them are directly associated with the church and
some are not. But whether
they are or not does not matter because they are
still doing the Lord's work.
Before Elijah came to Joseph Smith in the Temple
and restored the keys to
this great work there were only about 1000 (estimate)
families that had been
gathered and recorded as far as we know, but this
great work has captured
the hearts of the whole world and has even become
more prevalent since the
movie "Roots" was made. The way to do this
work has been opened by our Father
in Heaven in so many different ways. The technology
that has been inspired, such
as the computers, microfiche, microfilm and others
have just been wonderfu
l for me to behold. It makes things so much
faster and so much more enjoyable
for us to gather information. The telephone,
and methods of transportation
is another invention that has come about to further
this work and other work
of the Lord. The evidence is all around us
and all we have to do is open our
eyes and behold the Glory of the Lord. I
am very grateful to be a part of this
work and enjoy the time I spend in the Family History
Center. I love working
with the other librarians and the wonderful people
who come in to search for
their loved ones. Our Father in Heaven has really
blessed me in calling me
to do this work. I would advise anyone who
wants to feel a special spirit to begin
to search out their ancestors. It will capture
you and not let you go.
This is special.

Unknown Ancestral Photos |
~ * The unknown ancestral Photos are pictures
my mother had in her photo album with no
names on them. I am posting them in hopes that
someone out there in cyber space will know some
of them and help me put a name to the face.
Please contact me via my email address which
is linked below if you have any information
at all.*~

"Many of the family lines have "off shoots" or marriage lines
that will not be available by going to ancestors therefore I have
gone to the end of the line and done decendancy pages for those
who have been unable to find the families they may be looking for.
to get to these pages click on parents of each individual until you
come to the last ancestor on this line or go to the names list and
find the name that you are looking for and check for the link for
their decendants. I hope this will help in your research. Good luck
and God Bless."
