~*She Came To The Water
Fall*~
It was during the summer twilight
she came to the waterfall
In the mountains called the tetons
Where the timbers grew so tall

Where the wolves howled in the moonlight
and the eagles flew so free
She would cast her spell on nature
as she waited there for me

Her hair glistened in the sunbeams
as it framed her lovely face
as she stood in the water splashing
with all her youthful grace

This young beautiful Indian maiden
was the daughter of Fighting Bull
and she was promised to another brave
who was arrogant and cruel

She swore she didn't love him and
wouldd never be his wife
but to defy her chieftan father
could mean giving up her life

I went to her by the waterfall
and held her close to me.
But I didn't see the fatal arrow
as it flew through the trees.

Now when the twilight comes each day
you can see us standing there
if you watch and wait and listen
and have a soul that cares.
