Day Dreaming
In my deepest day dreams
I visit distant stars
and look and see the glory
on unfamiliar shores
On wings of golden splendor
I float beyond the moon
caress the rings of Saturn
embrace their deep maroon
Then on beyond this system
to planets far away
to see the new stars form
as gases churn and sway
from one planet to another
I step upon their face
And marvel at their beauty
Each in their given place
I dance on clouds of amber
And sit by seas of pink
Climb mountains of emeralds
And from nectar fountains drink
Trees with golden leaves that
Sway in the soft breeze
Small animals cute and gentle
Climb upon my knees
There is a God in heaven who
Upon each earth creates
The diverse and wondrous beauty
That each of us awaits.
