The Administrative Law Judge is currently considering SSI disability claim 261-90-6357 which includes enclosures from your local medical community to determine if I should receive benefits $600.00 a month or possibly totally in excess of $200,000.00.   Your agencies denied the request for medical extension to do prescribed medical work:

1.    Helping Hands Clinic:  10-12-1998 ARNP Jane Rhoden: "Needs a coloscopy to r/o bowel disease-rx of stricture of decending colon.

2.    Shands Hospital Dr. Luetke 10-11-1998: "Follow up with GI Medicine, call for appointment 392-2877.

3.    Gainesville Employment Service Center (334-1654) " Job Referrals Given NO: "Diseased bowel" infectious"

I certainly appreciate the honesty and frankness of Salvation Army Lodge Employment Manager Phillip Evans (10-19-1998) in stating the Commanding Officer Major Kent and United Way of Alachua County have set up a policy to deny extensions to persons with medical problems or who need to wait for medical work at Shands Regional Medical Center.  Honesty wasn't lacking in my change meeting with Health Nurse at Alachua County Health Department last week who explained the We Care Program was designed to deny services to non residents of this County.  During my upcoming visit to Washington, D.C. I will ask out legislative represenative the obvious: Why fund a Regional Medical Center which states it only provides services to County residents.

With Kind Regards
Chris Walters
