Unfortunately, the cost of carving wood is climbing steeper everyday.  The paints and other supplies, not to mention the wear and tear on tools and my time also cause the cost of the pieces to be high.

   :In the Catalogue you will see the price of pieces I have already finished, and set a price on.  I prefer to work from photos taken by fishermen who wish to preserve a memory of a fine day and a nice catch.  If you were to take the fish to a taxidermist, the cost is over $25 per inch of fish. 
    I find that if I charge anything less then that, that I also lose money.  Therefore, I have set the price of a carving done under commission at $25 per inch of carving for a full three dimensional fish and mount.
