MY CREDENTIALS

FORMAL TRAINING- BA Psychology, MA Counselling, and University of Windsor advanced mediation and negotiation training.
WORK EXPERIENCE- Individual/couple/family therapy and mediation at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, Youville Centre (for young mothers), and The Centre for Counselling and Pastoral Services located on the St. Paul University campus (Ottawa, Canada). Following my work at the above mentioned community agencies, I founded the SouthWest Psychotherapy Centre located in Greenbank Hunt Club Centre, a shopping mall at 250 Greenbank Rd., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION- Certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

At times, throughout our lives we may experience a difficult challenge, feel confused or stuck and would appreciate a brief, cost effective, and nonjudgmental intervention. A variety of counselling services are available and in order to find a counsellor that is right for you, you may want to begin by asking a family physician, friend, family member, a local hospital or consult the Yellow Pages. Seek out several counsellors and ask them about their professional credentials, how they work, and any questions you feel would be important. Don't forget you are a potential consumer of a service and deserve to check out your options. You do not have to settle for the first counselling professional that you find. If you are unable to find a counsellor or would like further assistance in choosing a counsellor, you may wish to consult the American Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), a professional organization that will provide referrals throughout Canada and the United States.
