What kind of art are you accepting?
All art and poetry must be completely original. We are accepting two kinds of artwork for this festival:

1. Visual Art (Painting, drawing, photography, computer art, etc...)

2. Poetry (500 words or less)

In what form should I send my material?
You can mail 8" x 10" or smaller copies of your artwork and/or typed poetry to:

Or you can email a .jpeg or .gif file of your art (poetry in Word doc) to:

NOTE: Only send copies of your material. No material(s) will be returned.

Is there anything else I need to send with my art?
Yes. Please include the following:

1. Your name.
2. Your email address.
3. The city and country in which you live.
4. Title and/or description of your work(s).
5. Medium (Oil, watercolor, ink, pencil, photography, computer generated, etc...)

Sounds cool. How do I enter?
It's simple. Mail or email us a copy of your creation with the above information.

How much does it cost to enter?
Zero. There is no entry fee.

Can I enter more that one work of art?
We are allowing up to three pieces of work per person. Please do not enter more than three works as we are a very small staff on a shoestring budget and the time spent reviewing hundreds of poems per person would be overwhelming. If we receive more that three works for an individual we will review the first three and discard the rest.

When is the deadline for submitting my art?
All submissions must be postmarked no later than March 1st, 2006.

When will I know if my artwork will be displayed in Gracies Cafe Gallery?
April 5th, 2006

Are there any cool prizes if I win?
There are no prizes per se. This is not a contest but a celebration of how the Lord can work in and through the creative process. There, however, will be voting by our judges on which - in their opinion - is the best in the various genres and those opinions will be posted along side of their respective "works of art" in our gallery for millions to see !!!

One more question. I'm 13 years old and my grandfather is 93 years old, do we both enter our art in the same category?
Yes. There is only one age category. You must over 1 and under 1000 years old to enter.

The Legal Stuff

By submitting your material or "works of art" to Gracies Cafe International Christian Art Festival you agree that your artwork is wholly and completely original and that you control all ownership to said work(s). You also grant permission to GraciesCafe.com to display your material on the GraciesCafe.com web site and/or in printed form for non profit promotional purposes only. You retain all other rights to and complete ownership of your material.

What does this mean?
It means that we don't want to get sued by you or anyone else for displaying your art in our gallery or in our festival promotional materials.
What else does it mean?
It means that we will make no money off of your artwork. GraciesCafe.com is currently in the process of applying for non profit (501(c)(3)) status.
