Rating: NC-17. Historian's Note/Timeline: Takes place during (anime) episode three of the Devil's Trill and swerves into an alternate universe shortly there after. Pairings: Hisoka x Tsuzuki, Hisoka x Sagadalius (yes, you read that right). Warnings: Where do I begin? First off, this thing rightly earns an NC-17 rating for a massive lemon. I pull no punches here--this isn't coy citrus, it's fairly graphic, not to mention LONG. So if you're underage and you know it, avoid it. I'll not be responsible if you manage to scar yourself.Also beware dark content, mind games, blood, violence, past references to rape, some swearing, and angst. Author's Notes: This is my first attempt at writing for the Yami no Matsuei fandom. I've only recently managed to get my hands on the anime and after falling in love with it, I had to share with my partner Amet (who's already posted her own Yami fic). I had already started writing a Yami crossover with Witchblade when the idea for this story hit me between the eyes. To say that it's AU only partially covers it. It follows the anime storyline up to episode three of the Devil's Trill and then as I've noted earlier, veers off. Why that is will become more apparent as you read. The premise is fairly simple: What might have happened had Sagadalius known that it was Hisoka, not Hijiri he confronted after the shower scene? The idea seemed to fascinate Amet and she pushed me to pursue it. There are few issues that need to be addressed before you hit the story--one of which is the name of the demon which possess Tsuzuki. I've managed to find 5, count 'em five, different translations of his name before deciding to just settle on the name given to him in the anime, Sagadalius. The second issue is my deciding to go with the manga on one issue--in between the Nagasaki arc and the Devil's Trill arc, there was a random casefile that never made it into the anime. I make reference to it only in the interests of throwing more time between the first arc and this one, so that Tsuzuki and Hisoka have been partners for awhile. These issues and the warnings above being noted, I hope you enjoy the story. It's certainly longer than any citrus has a right to be. :P Feedback: Would really, really be appreciated.
