RICHARD GAVIN:
Richard Gavin is an acclaimed author of horror fiction and poetry. His writings appear frequently in magazines, webzines, and anthologies. His book CHARNEL WINE will be published by Rainfall Books in 2004.
Richard's interest in Danvers State Hospital was sparked by the film SESSION 9 (USA Films, 2001), but it was only after he discovered Michael Ramseur's incredible artwork that he was inspired to pen this "autobiography" of what he calls "one of America's most baroque monuments to mystery and pain."

MICHAEL RAMSEUR:
Michael Ramseur continues to be obsessed
with the mysterious phenomenon of Danvers State
Hospital. He is collaborating with editor, Helen Jensen, on a full
length expressive history of Danvers, titled The
Haunted Palace. He is planning to have this work
published electronically in the near future. Michael
gives special thanks to Richard for his evocative and
inspired text that brings us all closer to an
essential truth about Danvers State: that it presents
as an entity and force that should at all times be
respected and at points revered. Michael also thanks
his good friend and webmaster, Trina Ragan, for putting
her indelible stamp of creative passion and technical
expertise on this work, in particular the riveting
Palace of Shadows audio track. Finally, to those who
wish to visit Danvers State, tours are now being
offered the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.
