The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au, and I will update it accordingly.

Droid Starfighter and Naboo Starfighter are identical. When I say one, I also mean the other.

CARD FACTS:
--------------------

COMMON, PURPLE-DOT, NON-UNIQUE STARFIGHTER

Destiny: 6

Power: 2 + Destiny [?]

Damage: 0

Flavor Text (Naboo Starfighter): "Bravo Flight A, take on the fighters." -- Ric Olie

Flavor Text (Droid Starfighter): "Enemy fighters straight ahead!" -- Ric Olie

----------------
IN BRIEF:
----------------

This is probably closer to fair than Bravo 1(and Darth Maul's Starfighter / Sith Infiltrator) in terms of the current starship battle rules. You will need a Destiny of 4 to down a Dark Battleship / Trade Federation Transport (or a Light Republic Cruiser / Transport), which while you still stand a better than average chance of getting, is a lot less ridiculous than a Destiny of 2 to destroy one. Naboo Starfighter's Destiny also makes it attractive: even though it has only one more Destiny than Bravo I (or Darth Maul's Starfighter), there is something to be said for drawing a 6 as Destiny that is a million times better than drawing a 5. Like the look on your opponent's face. The more non-unique characters you are using in your deck, the less transports and more of these that you can probably get away with in your deck. Just don't overdo it, because a transport or two are always handy: especially if your opponent decides to concede a planet.

GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
------------------------------------

* As I previously mentioned, a Destiny of 4 will be sufficient to shoot down a Battleship / Trade Federation Transport or a Republic Cruiser / Transport with this card. Not difficult, especially if you draw another Naboo/Droid Starfighter as Destiny! (6)

* If you are *really* trying for a theme, then the Droid Starfighter is the card of choice in your Dark Battle Droid deck. It might actually work nicely as well: you shouldn't be using a lot of unique characters, and it will increase your deck's Average Destiny.

ADDITIONS:

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au and I'll add it here. That is what Episode I needed: X-Wings and TIEs! That's what was missing!!!
