The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au, and I will update it accordingly.

jinnandtonic's Grades:

Economy: E
We're Not In Trouble Yet is a pretty uneconomical Battle card. It gives Qui-Gon Jinn a Power bonus of +2 in Battle, which in itself probably is a little low. But the card also has a miserable Destiny of 2, which when combined with your Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master's Destiny of 1, means your deck is going to have some problems. Compare this card with something like The Negotiations Were Short or Da Beings Hereabouts Cawazy and you should realise just how uneconomical this card is.

Decipher: D
What Decipher was probably trying to achieve is admirable. The idea is a good one, and I like the whole subtext of the card. Unfortunately, it falls quite nicely into that bracket of cards that probably will not do your Light tournament deck any good at all. Decipher was probably trying to make sure that the Battle cards associated with rare characters did not make those characters utterly invincible. I understand that, but they possibly overcompensated in the case of We're Not In Trouble Yet.

Overall Usefulness: D-
One of the more useless Battle cards in YJCCG, and it is a pity. A Power bonus of +2 is nothing to grin like a loon about, and your Qui-Gon Jinn would probably be much better served in play by a trusty Blaster Rifle, or The Negotiations Were Short. Having said that, it is still a fairly nice dream card, although you won't want to overdo it. If a different version of Qui-Gon Jinn is released (and a different dot-colored version at that), this card will become a tad more useful. Until then, one word of advice: avoid.

CARD FACTS:
--------------------

UNCOMMON, YELLOW-DOT, BATTLE CARD

Destiny: 2

Game Text:
oo Use with Qui-Gon.

Flavor Text: "When yousa tink wesa in trouble?" --- Jar Jar Binks

------------------------------------------------
SPECIFIC INTERACTING CARDS:
------------------------------------------------

You will be in trouble if you try and use this card without:

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master
(#2, Menace of Darth Maul, Rare, Red-Dot)

As we all know, the main problem surrounding Mister Jinn is his amazing ability to be ridiculously expensive, thus rendering us pretty much unable to protect him with weapons. So in some respects, We're Not In Trouble Yet can provide a way of helping Qui-Gon out of such trouble. Still, you have to look at The Negotiations Were Short and compare. If you don't mind using Qui-Gon Jinn at the start of your Battle plan, then The Negotiations Were Short is the superior deal. But if you want a bit more flexibility (and unfortunately, with that comes less brute Power) then We're Not In Trouble Yet is an option to consider. You will have to be using a fair few Qui-Gons, however....

-------------------
IN BRIEF:
-------------------

We're Not In Trouble Yet. Interestingly, if a character like Darth Maul attacked with Opee Sea Killer, and was paired off against Qui-Gon Jinn, you would be in a spot of bother. Then, you might think, smugly saying 'We're Not In Trouble Yet' and playing the associated Battle card would save your sorry hindquarters from being eaten by a fish. This is not the case in YJCCG. Although I have twisted the events of the film to make the above argument, it is still valid. We're Not In Trouble Yet should give at last a Power +3 bonus. It think if it gave such a bonus it would be infinitely more useful in a greater range of decks. As it stands, it is nice in a fun theme deck, but not fit for tournament competition.

-------------------------------
GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
-------------------------------

* I wouldn't consider using We're Not In Trouble Yet (save for maybe a token one copy, or something like that) unless you are using 8+ copies of Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master, or are using a different version of Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master that I am unaware of. The Negotiations Were Short is just so much more effective and can be used with *any* character, potentially. 1-2 copies of We're Not In Trouble Yet max.

* Style Tip: Yep, beat that Opee Sea Killer combo with Qui-Gon and We're Not In Trouble Yet. You'll have to do it when the 'Sea Killer is being used with a useless character, though. Or load Qui-Gon up with a saber, or something. Losing with the Qui-Gon + We're Not In Trouble Yet combination can be somewhat embarassing.

ADDITIONS:

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au and I'll add it here. We're Not In Trouble Yet. But come September, I'll have entries to the Guide to do up to my armpits.
