The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au, and I will update it accordingly.

jinnandtonic's Grades:

Economy: B
Reasonably economical, is I Have A Bad Feeling About This. Using it with Obi-Wan in battle allows you to return Obi-Wan and his weapon (if any) back to your hand he if is defeated. So, this card can potentially replenish 6 Damage (e.g. Obi-Wan Kenobi, his Damage 5 and potentially a weapon (7) - 1 lost copy of I Have A Bad Feeling About This). Any card that can do that for you is certainly not uneconomical. A Destiny of 3 is okay-ish, but could be better.

Decipher: A
I like this card. Look at all the Battle Cards from both sides in Menace of Darth Maul and you will not find a more unique Battle card than this. Many Battle cards are similar, or virtually identical, leading to a curious sensation of deck sameness (e.g. Security Volunteers vs. In Complete Control). This card is not only unique in function, but fits the idea of the film reasonably well, and is just plain cool. Because it does *not quite* fit in with the film in terms of idea, it therefore gets marked down. Otherwise, it would have been an A+.

Overall Usefulness: B-
I Have A Bad Feeling About This is not only a specific card, but a card that even then is only useful in specific situations. It is not the Battle card to play just to increase your Power, one you whack in a Battle Plan as soon as you draw it. It is one that must be strategically played, when you think your Obi-Wan Kenobi, Young Jedi or Jedi Padawan is in trouble. This card is one of those few cards in YJCCG that can genuinely annoy your opponent when it works: they have Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice + Sith Lightsaber + Opee Sea Killer and you airlift old Obi out of there. Just watch you don't unintentionally lose a planet through 'teleporting' shenanigans. An incredibly useful card if you happen to be packing multiples of Obi-Wan Kenobi, otherwise, obviously useless.

CARD FACTS:
--------------------

UNCOMMON, YELLOW-DOT, BATTLE CARD

Destiny: 3

Game Text:
Use with Obi-Wan. If he is defeated, return Obi-Wan (and his weapon, if any) to your hand. You don't lose any cards for his DAMAGE.

Flavor Text: "Don't center on your anxiety, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now." --- Qui-Gon

------------------------------------------------
SPECIFIC INTERACTING CARDS:
------------------------------------------------

You need:

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Young Jedi
(#1, Menace of Darth Maul, Rare, Red-Dot)

OR

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Padawan
(#33, Menace of Darth Maul, Starter Deck Insert, Red-Dot)

Funnily enough, this card is actually more effective with the rather miserable Jedi Padawan. Using this card with the Padawan has the potential to save you 7 Damage, compared with the 6 Damage saved when this card is used with the Young Jedi. Unfortunately, immediately after redeploying Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Padawan, he will probably die again anyway, and you *will* be socked with that 7 Damage. Just remember not to use I Have A Bad Feeling About This as soon as you draw it. *Trust your instincts* and use it when there is a *disturbance in the Force*. (chuckle)

-------------------
IN BRIEF:
-------------------

I Have A Bad Feeling About This is one of the coolest Battle cards in YJCCG, if not the coolest. It smells a bit like a lot of the cards from SWCCG (e.g. the character 'A''s back series, retrieving lost characters from your Lost pile), and has a title identical to a certain SWCCG card as well. It also has SWCCG-like game text, in that the text pretty much fills the box provided: certainly one of the more complicated cards in YJCCG (although it is still not *complicated* at all). Even though it is specific to Obi-Wan Kenobi, it can be a useful card in any deck containing multiples of Obi-Wan, and is a particularly cool theme deck. You might even try an Obi-Wan theme deck to use with this card, which should be a *lot* of fun to play.

-------------------------------
GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
-------------------------------

* Firstly, for an Obi-Wan deck, we will require 10 copies of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Young Jedi (including maybe a couple of Jedi Padawans if required). So how many copies of I Have A Bad Feeling About This should we include. This deck is probably going to more fun than effective (though I may be mistaken), so let's go for 4 copies. For the remainder of the yellow category, we can use The Negotiations Were Short and perhaps Yousa Guys Bombad. Weapons? Go for multiple copies of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Lightsaber, and the rest should obviously be Blaster Rifles. The remainder of the character categories (green, blue) can be filled with practically anything, though I wouldn't settle for any Anakin Skywalker / Podracer Pilots due to the poor Destiny of the deck. Maybe you should use cards such as Queen Amidala / Ruler of Naboo and Queen Amidala / Royal Leader to pump up that Destiny.

* Use I Have A Bad Feeling About This when your opponent has Darth Maul / Sith Apprentice + Sith Lightsaber + At Last We Will Have Revenge against your Obi-Wan Kenobi. *Don't* use it when your opponent's Sith Probe Droid is bearing down on you without battle card support. It can be a silly way to lose a planet if you are not careful!

ADDITIONS:
------------------

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@yahoo.com.au and I'll add it here. Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, Han, C-3P0. Probably Chewie and R2 too, if we could understand them. They have all said 'I Have A Bad Feeling About This'.
