The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@angelfire.com, and I will update it accordingly.

jinnandtonic's Grades:

Economy: C
Jawa / Bargainer is a pretty uneconomical card. Power 1 for Deploy 1, location bonuses of Power +1 at all Tatooine sites is okay-ish for a breakthrough deck, but Damage 2 and Destiny 5 could be better. Just look at the Dark character Sith Probe Droid for a better weenie character.

Decipher: B-
I have similar problems with this card as I did with the Jawa / Thief card. This card should have a higher location bonus at Tatooine/Mos Espa and a lower location bonus at Tatooine/Desert Landing Site. Damage is also a little high, although it doesn't really matter. This card is also identical to the Dark character Neimoidian / Trade Federation Pilot, which irks a little.

Overall Usefulness: C+
Well, no. There are one or two slightly better red-dot cards that I could think of at the moment (wink wink, nudge nudge, etc.). Decipher even goes out of it's way to recommend that the Jawa / Bargainers should be replaced as soon as possible out of the starter decks in an article on the website. (I am sure I read it somewhere...) So for specialised use only, or you are just starting the game and don't have a lot of cards to play with. Okay if you want a high-destiny style deck, though.

FLAVOR TEXT: Jawas are shrewd, always haggling for the best possible price.

Yay! More Jawa cards please! Same comments here as in #29 Jawa, Thief.

Jawa Ion Blaster
(#43, Menace of Darth Maul, Common, Orange-Dot)
- This universal weapon gives any Jawa a Power bonus of +2 and a Destiny ? draw in battle, or any other character a Destiny ? draw in battle. A nice card (with a Destiny of 5), it may be worth using this card (10 copies?) instead of Blaster Rifles in a Jawa deck. The only bad thing about the card is its expensive Deploy (2).

-------------------
IN BRIEF:
-------------------

Jawa / Bargainer is not the most useful card going around, and unless you want a little higher Destiny Average in your deck, are probably best avoided. Not the strongest of characters, or the more economical, Jawa / Bargainer is pretty much a Light variant of Neimoidian / Trade Federation Pilot. So unless you *really* need that Destiny, or you are making a Jawa theme.... steer clear.

-------------------------------
GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
-------------------------------

* The Jawa deck? Firstly, we will obviously want 10 copies of each Jawa / Thief and Jawa / Bargainer (cleaning up our green and red categories, respectively). Orange should contain lots of Jawa Ion Blasters, maybe a few Blaster Rifles if you are really looking to lift that Destiny. But I wouldn't use them. Blue is fairly tough, and at the moment we have to leave the theme for a moment. Because of the high Destiny we should have in the deck, I might slip in a few copies of Anakin Skywalker / Podracer Pilot and Royal Guard / Leader. . Finally, yellow, where I would have 1-3 copies of Da Beings Hereabouts Cawazy and plenty of The Negotiations Were Short. If you decide yo use 10 copies of Royal Guard / Leader it may be worth while putting a couple of copies of Security Volunteers in as well. Happy Jawa deck building?

* The Force Quotient (FQ, like IQ) of Jawa / Bargainer is 6. The devil's number? The same as a bunch of other universals, such as Royal Guard / Leader, Ithorian / Merchant, and through utter co-incidence, the Dark character Neimoidian / Trade Federation Pilot.

* Style tips:

- Try to beat a Jedi deck with your Jawa deck containing 10 copies of Jawa / Bargainer and Jawa / Thief. "Gee, like my deck is worth $5 and yours is worth $50, and I won." Have to love all-common weenie decks.

- Beat up your opponents Battle Droids. You might want to borrow a few Restraining Bolts from SWCCG Premiere!

- Another recurring alien! Joy!

ADDITIONS:

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@angelfire.com and I'll add it here. Would you buy a used speeder from this Jawa? No, I wouldn't either.
