The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@angelfire.com, and I will update it accordingly.

jinnandtonic's Grades:

Economy: C+
Pretty uneconomical, really. The universal Jawa / Thief deploys for 2 and has Power 2, with location bonuses of Power +1 at all Tatooine locations. While this card only has Damage 1, it has a fairly poor Destiny for such a weak character (Destiny = 3). Unless you are using a Jawa deck-theme, there are better options.

Decipher: B-
The image is fine, and I guess the Power and Damage are justified. I think that this card (being a thief) should have a location bonus of Power +2 at Tatooine / Mos Espa, and no location bonus at Tatooine / Desert Landing Site (although that is debatable). The flavor text is a bit inspecific as well, and the Destiny a touch low.

Overall Usefulness: C+
Not particularly useful by itself. Jawa / Thief is certainly not a powerful card, and is overly weighed down by it's poor Destiny. Obviously a must in a Jawa theme-deck however, and with the supporting cards mentioned below, can be a quite a handful for your opponent. But not a card you can slot into any deck and expect it to be effective.

FLAVOR TEXT: "A few indigenous tribes and scavengers. " Qui-Gon Jinn

Yay! More Jawa cards please!

Jawa Ion Blaster
(#43, Menace of Darth Maul, Common, Orange-Dot)
- This universal weapon gives any Jawa a Power bonus of +2 and a Destiny ? draw in battle, or any other character a Destiny ? draw in battle. A nice card (with a Destiny of 5), it may be worth using this card (10 copies?) instead of Blaster Rifles in a Jawa deck. The only bad thing about the card is its expensive Deploy (2).

-------------------
IN BRIEF:
-------------------

Jawa / Thief is probably the weaker of the two Jawa cards, although still very useful in a Jawa themed deck. We already have a green-dot Jawa (Jawa / Thief) and a red-dot Jawa (Jawa / Bargainer), come on Decipher, we want a blue-dot Jawa in the next expansion! Please? Anyway, you probably won't want to use this card unless you are playing a Jawa deck. Which I will now rant about briefly.

-------------------------------
GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
-------------------------------

* The Jawa deck? Firstly, we will obviously want 10 copies of each Jawa / Thief and Jawa / Bargainer (cleaning up our green and red categories, respectively). Orange should contain lots of Jawa Ion Blasters, maybe a few Blaster Rifles if you are really looking to lift that Destiny. But I wouldn't use them. Blue is fairly tough, and at the moment we have to leave the theme for a moment. Because of the high Destiny we should have in the deck, I might slip in a few copies of Anakin Skywalker / Podracer Pilot and Royal Guard / Leader. . Finally, yellow, where I would have 1-3 copies of Da Beings Hereabouts Cawazy and plenty of The Negotiations Were Short. If you decide yo use 10 copies of Royal Guard / Leader it may be worth while putting a couple of copies of Security Volunteers in as well. Happy Jawa deck building?

* The Force Quotient (FQ, like IQ) of Jawa / Thief is 5. Which isn't the best. The same as Royal Guard / Veteran, Naboo Security / Guard and Boss Nass / Leader of the Gungans, plus several others.

Style tips:

- Another cross-CCG theme deck. The thief deck! Featuring Kabe of SWCCG (Premiere) and Jawa / Thief. You also might want to try stealing your opponent's cards. (actually don't!)

- Beat up your opponents Battle Droids. You might want to borrow a few Restraining Bolts from SWCCG Premiere!

- Another recurring alien! Joy!

ADDITIONS:

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@angelfire.com and I'll add it here. Utinni! Who else thought Utinni Effects were stupid in SWCCG? Nice idea, but stupid name.
