The Unofficial Jedi's Guide to the YJCCG Galaxy is THE card strategy reference for Decipher's Young Jedi CCG. Starting with the first expansion, 'The Menace of Darth Maul', each individual card will be discussed until it can be discussed no further. Nevertheless, if I have missed something, email me at jinnandtonic@angelfire.com, and I will update it accordingly.

jinnandtonic's Grades:

Economy: B+

In terms of economy, not a bad card. Rabe deploys for 2 and has a Power of 2, with location bonuses of Power +1 at all Tatooine locations. She also onlyhas a Damage of 1 and has a Destiyn of 4. Practically a non-universal Gungan Official / Bureaucrat based on Tatooine.

Decipher: B+
We quite frankly no so little about this character that Decipher would have to do something extraordinary to be marked badly. The only gripe I had with the card is that Rabe earns location bonuses at all Tatooine sites, which is a tad strange. Destiny and Damage ratings seem fair, and the picture is okay, considering we don't really see the handmaiden's faces (except for Padme, that is).

Overall Usefulness: B
A fairly handy card to include in your Light Tatooine deck, and probably any Light deck for that matter. There is nothing special about the Rabe / Handmaiden card that makes her stand out like, for example, Anakin Skywalker / Podracer Pilot, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. A solid Destiny of 4 means that she won't drag your deck down, and a Damage of 1 means that you don't really care if she bites it. The question is: wouldn't a Royal Guard be preferable to her? Probably.

IN BRIEF:
-------------------

Rabe / Handmaiden is an okay card, but not something to jump up and down about. She is actually identical to Jawa / Thief, besides the fact that the latter card has more theme applications, is universal, and has a slightly lower Destiny. There is a nice possibility of a handmaidens theme (see #5 Padme Naberrie for info on this) but such a possibility is not fully realisable until a few more handmaidens and/or handmaiden supporting cards are released. Until then, you may want 1-2 copies of her in a Light deck, but probably not any more than that.

-------------------------------
GENERAL PLAY TIPS:
-------------------------------

* The good thing about the handmaidens theme is that Rabe/Handmaiden and Padme Naberrie/Handmaiden are different dot-colors, so if you have enough cards, you could possibly include 10 copies of each in a deck.

* The Force Quotient (FQ, like IQ) of Rabe/Handmaiden is 6. Pretty ordinary really, the same as Captain Panaka/Protector of the Queen and Ric Olie/Ace Pilot, among others.

* Silly theme of today: The Accented Deck. We are certainly stretching it today. Exactly three Light characters have little apostrophe things above letters in their names: Rabe/Handmaiden, Padme Naberrie/Handmaiden and Ric Olie/Ace Pilot. When you deploy them, make sure you make them sound French.

* Style tips:

- Protect the Queen. You are brave, right?

- Theme deck: The Chick Deck. Starring Rabe, Padme Naberrie/Handmaiden, multiple versions of Queen Amidala and so forth. There wasn't *any* female Gungans in the movie, were there? I must assume that the Gungans multiply like frogs or something, so maybe you can include Jar Jar Binks. Just hope you don't run into Aurra Sing. Cat fight!

Up to you. Think of anything else cool about his card, or combos that you have used to great effect? What about a particular game in which this card made you win? Send anything like that to jinnandtonic@angelfire.com and I'll add it here.
