WTF?

WTF? I'm sorry, but I have been watching The X-Files for ages (since the first season... I was in grade 7 for G-d's sake!), and when I heard that Mulder and Scully were going to kiss, well, I wasn't sure what to think. I mean, the idea of a romantic relationshipbetween our two favorite special agents is perfectly fine if it is fanfic or something talked about longingly amongst a group of fans, but the idea of it actually occuring in the show... Well... Chris Carter used to say that Mulder and Scully would never have romantic relationship unless it was the final episode. So when I heard that they were going to kiss on a November episode, I had mixed emotions.

Me: "YES! AT LAST! Ah, how long we have waited for this moment... My life will be complete!"
Mini Me: Are you insane? If they develop a relationship, the shows dynamic will be destroyed!
Me: "Well, there is a good chance that I am insane because I am actually debating with myself outloud! I am going to stop now!"
My family: "Did you forget to take your medication again?"

So I was prepared. I was excited. I ignored the logical thoughts that it would mess up the show, and I really could not wait. So what happens? An empty New Year's kiss. COME ON! This is what I was all worked up about?

But... did you see the look in Mulder's eyes just before they kissed? Awww...
