Mario Barone has been a pivotal force for the Calabrians Multicultural World Society Inc.  He co-chaired the committee with Governor Orlando Tridico and current Treasurer Elio J. Principe  to purchase and help develop seven acres of prime commercial real estate which will be the future Multicultural Complex in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  

 

Mario Barone is one of the founding members of the organization in 1985 and has served in many capacities, including Chair of the Board of Directors (1993-1994), Treasurer (1995-1998) and an Executive Member of the Board of Directors (1998-present).  He has also co-chaired and been a member of several committees, including the Building Fund Committee, Development Projects Committee and the Secondary Languages Education Committee.

 

The Calabrians Multicultural World Society Inc. sees Mario Barone as a valuable contributor and builder of the organization.  Committed to the principles of  multiculturalism, egalitarianism,  civil liberties and social justice, Mr. Barone is quickly becoming one of the most respected and influential members of the organization.
