Larry Allen Harpel graduated 1990 from Clatskanie High School in Clatskanie Oregon. He also lived in Roseburg/Winston, Hood River, The Dalles, and in Washington State. He was in the US Army from SEP 1990 to JAN 1993, and again from JAN 1994 to JAN 1997. He attended Basic Training and AIT at Ft. McClellan Alabama, and was stationed at Ft. Carson CO, Ft. Hood TX, and Camp Casey Korea. During the year he was not in active duty he was in the Oregon National Guard in Eugene and worked at Coast to Coast. Larry is the son of Mike and Janet Harpel, brother of Bryan and Shannon.

Heather Lea Ann Harpel's maiden name was Heather Brown. She was homeschooled through all of high school. Before high school she attended Briggs Middle School, Thurston Elementary, and Meadowlark Elementary. Heather was born in Los Angeles CA, but lived in Eugene/Springfield OR from age 2 to 18. Heather is the daughter of Dave and Venita Brown, sister of Randy, Heidi, Matt, and Mike. While growing up, Heather attened Calvery Assembly of God in Eugene OR, Willamette Christian Center in Eugene Or, Springfield Faith Center, and Berean Assembly of God in Springfield OR.

Larry and Heather Harpel were married December 21, 1991. Together they have lived in Colorado Springs CO, Springfield OR, Killeen TX, Copperas Cove TX, Ft. Hood TX, Kellogg ID, Wallace ID, and they currently live in Toledo OH. Together they have attended the following churches; Friendship Assembly of God (Colorado Springs), Berean Assembly of God (Springfield), Five Hills Assembly of God (Copperas Cove), Silver Valley Assembly of God (Kellogg), Wallace Assembly of God, and currently attend Solid Rock Ministries of Toledo. They have four daughters; Marcalie, Corrina, Jolissa, and Jesaray.
