Lonsdale Lilac Jazz Festival

The Skala Cafe Orchestra - picture by Duncan Maclean

The third annual Lonsdale Lilac Jazz Festival is coming! Taking place again in the picturesque beauty of Lonsdale, Ontario, this year's festival boasts performances from some of our favorites of last year's festival such as: The Skala Cafe Orchestra and The Clarion Jazz Quartet. Also appearing this year from the "nicer than you would think" city of Hamilton, Beer Yoga. And all the way from the Mega City of Toronto, The Apostle of Hustle.

It's never been easier to get the perfect gift for dad on Father's Day! Just pack him into the car with a few lawn-chairs and a pack of cold ones and groove on over to Lonsdale. Bring the kids. Bring the folks. Bring someone you just met on the street! Bring that old flame from high-school you've been meaning to call. Bring your instrument and get in free! Bring your husband and/or wife and/or partner. Bring the dog. But most importantly bring your appreciation for good music and check-out some great live blues/folk/jazz/whatever, on this laid-back, pleasurable afternoon.

The festival will get underway Father's Day, 2002, at 1 p.m., and continue until around 6 p.m. Admission is $5.00 (musicians bearing implements of tonality get in free; children free)(We have to charge something to pay for the building and to help the traveling musicians with a bit of gas money).

The officail line-up for this year's festival will be posted here in the weeks to come, so keep an eye on this page!
