Vicarage Road End

The Vicarage road end was built in 1994 (I think!). It holds just over 5,500 people when full. Before this season it was home of the most vocal supporter's but this season 'The home end' has been swapped to the south end of the ground, the Rookery end. Away supporters now sit in the east corner of the Vic rd end access is through the turnstiles by the Red Lion pub.
The allocation to the away team has been cut from 7,000 seats to 2,500 seats due to the swapping of ends and more interest from the locals since getting into the Premiership.

The Rous stand is the two tiered one on the right, it holds about 6,000 in total. The upper tier gives probably the best view in the ground which also means being the most expensive to get in, due to this fact most people sitting here are rich people who don't enjoy making atmosphere, so if you want to stand up and sing stay clear of the upper Rous. The executive boxes are in the upper rous, so if you are a fat cat or enjoy watching your football through a window while keeping warm in those cold winter months, take a couple of grand out your pocket and purchase one of these boxes.

The lower Rous holds roughly 3,500 and is mainly full of families and 'new' supporter's. I recommend this part of the ground if you are visiting the Vic for the first time and you are not a away fan. There is a restaurant/bar thingy in here which I think costs you to get in. It is also open during reserve games. The lower Rous is normally the only part of the ground open during reserve fixtures.

The other stand is the Rookery end, where all the chanting from Watford fans is started. It can fit 7,000 hornets and is usually full. The Rookery was built in 1996 and is the latest stand to be put up by the club. Away fans used to be put in here, and when we were in Div 2 it looked ridiculous for most games simply because it was near empty.

The stand not in the picture is the East stand which is a embarrassment to Watford football club, some of it was built in the 20's! This stand should be avoided at all cost's. The press, VIP's, old gits, and kids are put in here and if this is not bad enough pillars obscure most of the pitch. Next to the 'main' stand is a new open covered stand which holds about 700 people, this also should be avoided unless you are very desparate, you will get very wet when it rains and you will have a very poor view of the game.
