ICE 2000 Latest News

ICE 2000 ReUnion!
24 came by car, train, boat, and bike,
& to revisit the
Summer Bike Thang.
Fourteen teenage participants, ten leaders and countless parents from ICE 2000 converged on Toowong Park near
Auchenflower Station on Sunday 20th Feb 2000, for the ICE 2000 camp reunion.
There were about 80 Photos to choose between, with everyone there getting the opportunity to pick 5 free. Check out the most popular photos.
Later in the afternoon we went for a Brisbane River Bikeway ride to the Botanical Gardens, all up about 14km which was more than we rode on the first day of ICE.
Some people showed up with water pistols which made things a bit more lively at times.
GhumBy led the devotion, continuing the camp study theme of True Love - God's Love.
And the big announcement that you were all waiting for. . . . The Mystery Ride winners are:
A tie for first place - Black and Navy on 25 points.
Um, Green came last on 13 points.

Hi everyone!
Praise God we had such a great time exploring North Stradbroke Island
We had terrific bunch of 39 happy campers (24 highschool students & 15 past HS students) - some too eager and some less than eager but all willing to give
the activities a go and lend a hand as required.
There was a good spirit on camp right from the beginning.
And the leadership team did an awesome job especially when they had to
cover for myself and the other leaders who were ill.
Hey I know that the time everyone was allowed to spend in the water was really restricted
but the leadership team was determined that safety be the top priority in that area.
A comment from Felicity was that we had a nice mix swimming and riding.
We had a really good water fight on the first day of camp and Melissa agrees.
Everyone was well and truly soaked - an excellent way to break the ice.
Becky's top thing she liked about the camp was the '70s night, and I agree.
The '70s Retro party was a huge hit with many of us
getting into the swing of it.
Well done Dan.
I took along what seemed like a whole wardrobe of '70 gear and shared it around.
There were some of us older leaders fitting into some really tight gear.
We even used some '70s shaving cream (brand new razor blades though)
Felicity came through with her camp study on LURV - a taste of God's true love.
Unfortunately I haven't had much feed back from the campers yet,
but Geoff has passed on that all those in Team Yellow thought
the study was interesting and well put together.
One of the girls indicated that on camp she had decided to turn back to Christ as her Lord.
I'll be hoping to catch more detail on this in the near future.
Felicity ended the camp study by placing a piece of paper on everyone's back,
an appreciation page if you like, and we all mingled writing good things about
each other on their backs.
I got the usual comments - "The best camp director ever."
- that sort of thing, oh yeah and
"Nice hair GhumBy! Well what you've got left of it."
Also a "Great Smile, Luv the attitude." comment.
I think that was a great idea Fliss!!
