Hello Mr/Mrs person reader person!
How are you? My name is Benjamin Tippett. I am a lousy poet. I grew up in beaumont alberta, when lots of bad people didn't like me, but a few good people thought well of me, so it all evens out. Life's like that. When I was in grade 10 we (my family) and I moved to Delta BC where I went to high school. I wrote poetry then too, but most of it sucked. The only remenant is the "Lemon Tree" poem. It's one of my favorites. The forcing of the rhyme and the repetition of the same statement over and over are intentional, by the way. I think it's funny. I'm currently attending UBC, in the science program. First year, still. I live in residence, and am having lots of fun. The people I'm surrounded with, and attempt to surround myself with, are all good people, and hopefully they all regard me with higher regards than say, a kneecap. Good work! I have a twin sister. She's at harvard. She has fun roomates! they talk to me on the phone. So does she. I'm very proud of my sister.
So, Apparently I'm a poet. I don't think I'm very good. but I like compliments, so If you think otherwise tell me so as often as you can ;p .Most of the stuff writen on this page has been written in the last half year. Some people think that I am too depressing with my poetry. I try not too be. Maybe it rains too much here. I think so. I'll try to change that! hah hah hah. Whee! I try not to force my poetry, I just write it down as it comes to me, and I don't try to finish lines to make em rhyme or fill in lines, unless I get impatient. THat makes for bad reading, and I wrote most of this stuff for people to read. otherwise why write anything down at all, eh?
So I got a roomate, right. and he's cool. he looks like a lemer and acts kind of like an exited bevis when he's drunk. He'll probably break me in half for writing this. Oh, well. Go Tyler GO!
