Ballad of a Deconstructed Lit Major

(to be sung in a quick drinking-song style)
I do not know of what I speak
-with a hey, da, derri-derri-da
And now I'm feeling rather meek
-with a hey da derri-derri-da
You do not know just how I feel
-with a hey...
What's in my mind must not be real
-with a hey...

But I'll open my mouth again
Just to put my foot in it again
I just repeated that last rhyme
But reiteration happens all the time
With a hey da derri-derri-da!

How can you my friend be so sure
-With a hey...
That what you argue must be pure?
-With a hey...
I don't mean to call you a liar
-With a hey...
But there's no referent to your signifier
-with a hey...

Why are we quoting from this text
When it says right here there's no context?
I just repeated that last rhyme
But reiteration happens all the time!
With a hey da derri-derri-da!
