Character Overview:
Haer'Dalis and his acting troop came to the Prime Material Plane of Abeir Toril fleeing an unhappy cambion. They'd insulted said cambion during a play they'd put on in their home city of Sigil, the fabled planar "City of Doors." After being rescued from another chaotic, and perhaps foolish act in the Faerun city of Athkatla, Haer'Dalis allied with the Bhaalspawn who freed him. It was an alliance that made a great deal of sense–Haer'Dalis, a member of Sigil's Doomguard, is obsessed with chaos and entropy; and chaos seemed a natural result of wherever the Bhaalspawn appeared. There is gossip that, with his deft tongue and otherworldy charm, he courted the wingless avariel Aerie. Perhaps she loved him, but, being drawn to order–and a more compassionate outlook on life–she eventually rejected him due his nihilistic embrace of destructive forces. He wanders the Planes still, looking for adventure–and keeping one step ahead of trouble.

Conversion Notes:
Obviously the "Blade" doesn't exist in 3.5, but I think the Feat tree I built for him reflects pretty well his skill with his swords as much as it can. His two-weapon attacks aren't quite the offensive and defensive spins of the Blade, but as a trade-off, he has all of his spells and Bardic music and lore abilities fully intact. If you level him higher, he can make it to the Whirlwind Attack and other useful abilities. For this build, I preferred to focus on his being a Bard, since his representation in the story always seemed to focus on his charm and performance skills. I did come up with an alternate Fighter-Bard build which makes him a more effective warrior at the cost of skills. In either case he should be designed fairly well to take appropriate prestige classes of your choice, should you desire to advance him so.
