The purpose of this article is to help those new to Necromunda design a gang. I plan to discuss the basics of building a good gang, choosing which house is right for you, and some tips that I've learned. So even if you are an accomplished Necromunda player hopefully you will find some of the information here to be useful. Even if you disagree with some of my conclusions I think that you will find the article thought prevoking.

Now I'm going to assume that you have read and are atleast some what familiar with the rules for building a gang. If you have yet to do so then I highly recommend that you stop reading here and read the section, "CREATING A GANG" which starts on page 28 of the Necromunda Sourcebook. I'm not sure of what page the same section starts on in the new hardcover book. This section will give you all that you need to know to build one of the basic six gangs. Outlander gangs are a little bit different and you should be sure to read all the relavent rules if you wish to play an Outlander gang.
