Trips
Patriots Point- Around every three years, the troop goes to Patriots point in South Carolina. This is one of the largest trips taken and includes sleeping on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Yorktown and visiting Fort. Patriots Point also contains a submarine, coast guard ship, and a recreation of a Vietnam base.
Tom Matherly (Wallwood)-An annual trip for our troop. This trip usually includes repelling, survival nights, and a number of merit badges. In the past some of the the meit badges that were covered were Orienteering, Fishing, Camping, Cooking, Climbing,
Fort Rucker, Alabama- Our troop recently revisited Fort Rucker with our Weblos. We were once again impressed with the amount of helicopters on the base, and we enjoyed going to the top of the control towers. The addition of paintball on Saturday really improved the trip.
