HOW TO CREATE THIS BRACELET
|
Steps 1 2 and 3
Supplies needed: Size 4 Fire polish stones (I use 63 for my wrist size), some delicas in matching to contrasting colors, a set of clasps as shown, two needles (sizes 10 or 12), Nymo thread or equivalent, wax and glue (G-5 Hypos Cement with precision applicator) Measure out about 30 inches of Nymo thread for the first row. Wax coat the thread. Thread a needle at each end. If you start with the rounded clasp, put 2 delicas, if you start with the non-rounded clasp, put at least 4 delicas so you can get thru the rounded clasp easily when you are done. Then add 2 delicas to each needle and the add the first fire polish bead, criss-crossing the needles thru the bead. Add 2 more delicas to each side. Add one more delica and criss-cross the needles thru the bead. Add 2 more delicas and then another fire polish. Continue this way until you have a comfortable fit for your bracelet. |
Steps 4 and 5
After the first row is completely finished, then start the second row. Again, measure out 30 inches of thread, wax the thread and thread needles at both end. Go thru the beads attaching one or the other end containing the clasp. Go thru the first two beads with both threads. Then take one needle and go thru the fire-polish bead then back around thru the delicas as indicated. With the other needle, thread on 4 delicas. Now put on a new fire-polish bead by criss-crossing the threads. Then back thru an existing delica with one needle. Add one delica to this side and two delicas to the other wide. Add one more delica and criss-cross thru. Add one delica to the inside thread and pass thru an existing delica. Add two delicas to the outside thread. Now add another fire polish bead, and continue until the end. The fire polish beads on the second row should be placed approximately between the fire polish beads of the base row. At the end, add 4 delicas to the outside and complete the row. |
