ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR WG3 MEETING IN LUGANO

Hotel information

Datamars has made room reservations in Hotel La Perla _ CH 6982 Lugano-Agno

(tel +41 91 611 1010 and fax +41 91 611 19129). The room rate (single) is CFR 110,= per night including breakfast. The hotel is located very closed to Lugano-Agno airport.

Please contact Mrs Tiziana Malacrida of Datamars SA for booking (see below), indicating dates of arrival and of departure.

Travelling information:

Flight: you can fly to Basel, Zürich or Geneva and then change over to a local flight to Lugano (8 – 11 flights/day.

By landing in Milano (Italy) you may reach Lugano by train (approx. 1h30). Once in Lugano main station you may have the possibility to reach hotel La Perla by shuttle bus. Attached you will find a shuttle bus-time table from Lugano Main Station to Agno Airport.

By car: Please refer to the mailed map indicating hotel/meeting place situation.

The excursion to JRC/ISPRA.

Datamars has organised an excursion for members of WG3 and TWG on Tuesday, 27 April.

The approximate time schedule is as following:

12.30-14.15 travelling to Ispra by coach

14.15-16.15 visiting JRC/Ispra

16.15-18.00 travelling back to Lugano (Airport)

Because the JRC is situated in the UE Euro Atomic area we need a special enter permission for all participants. Therefore Datamars requests to sign up if you want to join this excursion. Please contact Mrs. Malacrida of Datamars.

The quidelines of JRC, transmitted by March 26, are as following:

Visitors from UE countries - Deadline for enter permission : 48 hours before the visit
Mr. Cuypers of JRC will forward a special form to be filled in with full name, nationality, date and place of birth of each visitor.
The 1st. day of the WG3 meeting ( 26.04.1999 ) we will ask every participant to fill in this form.
The form will then be transmitted to JRC Ispra immediately after.

Visitors from other countries - Deadline for enter permission : 10 days before the visit
For visitors coming from other countries the enter permission allowance requires longer time.
Therefore we ask you kindly to make sure that the concerned delegates provide us no later than the 12.04.1999 with the following information :
full name, nationality, date and place of birth, passport number, passport expiry
date, private address ( if possible ).
