I currently work as a journalist at ZDNet Australia, the premier IT news service in Australia. It is a part of CNET Networks, an IT publishing behemoth based in the US. At ZDNet I focus on telecommunications, copyright infringement and all that goes with it, and the "future tech" part of our site.
I have a Bachelor of Technology (biotechnology) from Macquarie University, and intend to become a science journalist – or science communicator of some kind. Recognising the relatively scarce job opportunities for such a career, I have registered both the business name and domain name of ScienceNews.com.au, to further my own interests and ends.
In the early part of 2004 I will be quitting my job and heading to Mexico, for reasons that have nothing to do with my career (obviously). That’s right, it's a woman. You never know who you might meet just around the corner.
Thank you for your kind interest in my professional project, my Web site and my biography. Should you feel the wish to contact me – for example, to offer me a job as a science journalist – please e-mail me.
