Our Government is supposed to be filled with the brightest and the best from our society right? Well if that be the case then why do they always do the most idiotic things? The buffoons in Washington are the ones who started this mess in the first place! Before you call me anti-government you should know that I am not. I am, however, anti-stupidity! In their own publication from 1968 they admit what they did.
The Department of Commerce, National Bureau of Standards issued Federal Information Processing Standards Publication #4 (Specifications for calender date). This publication specified the six digit date code (Two for month, two for day, and two for year) for all information exchange among Government agencies. This turned out to be a mandate for the world. Since the U.S. was on the cutting edge of computer technology then anyone who wanted to do business with the Government had to comply to our standards.
O.k. just for the sake of arguement let's say that the Government didn't mean to crash all computers back in 1968, say they had a brain fart or something. You're still left with the actions of this administration. If you don't believe that there is an ulterior motive behind this problem then you must believe that the people in the Government are just plain stupid. How else can you explain there complete lack of attention to this problem?
As far back as 1984 people were beginning to sound the alarm. In a book entitled Computers in Crisis: How to Avert the Coming Worldwide Computer Systems Crash, by Dr. Jerome T. Murray and Dr. Marilyn J. Murray. (Petrocelli Books, of Princton and New York) the alarm was sound loud and clear. The back cover of the book said:
WARNING!!! Logical and mathematical flaws have been discovered in the design of the worldwide computer programming and data bases. These flaws will result in the TOTAL COLLAPSE of the worlds computer systems on or before 2000 A.D.It makes you wonder if the clowns that we send to Washington can read! I mean really, what is their excuse? To hear them tell it, it came as a complete surprise to them. Hah! I heard about this problem a full six years ago, and you can bet that if I knew about it then, they knew a long time before that.
It is my opinion that this is all leading up to a decleration of Martial Law. Think about it. If there is any disruption in services, and the people can't buy food then there will be anywhere from mild to major civil unrest. The Government will have no choice but to declare Martial Law. What happens under Martial Law? Well there is no more Constitution and forget about the Presidential election because there won't be one! Clinton could very well be in office for life! But he wouldn't want to do that, right? Another thing that will happen is that all of those Executive Orders go into effect.
It is now up to you as to what you will do, but remember this: It is from this country that the rest of the world is evangelized for Christ, for the most part. If this country stops allowing that to happen God will have no reason not to judge this country for its sin. Under Martial Law that is exactly what will happen!
