In a Fox Network press conference, LUKE PERRY, who is reprising his role
as Beverly Hills, 90210's Dylan beginning in November, had this to say about
the exit of his longtime onscreen buddy/real life pal Jason Priestley
(Brandon): "Obviously, with Jay gone, it's a big void for me. I'll be very
up-front about that. It's like playing Fonzie without Richie."

PERRY HEADS FOR THE HILLS (Soap Digest Online)

Beverly Hills, 90210 has confirmed that fan favorite LUKE PERRY (ex-Ned,
Loving) is indeed returning as Dylan McKay. Filling the void in the cast
soon-to-be-made by departing original castmember JASON PRIESTLEY
(Brandon), Perry will appear in at least 12 episodes beginning this fall. Priestley
has worn several hats on the show, including director. This season he acts
as a co-Executive Producer.

Perry exited the show in 1995 after five years to pursue a film career. He
is currently in Los Angeles, filming the feature film, Storm, with Martin
Sheen. Among his most recent projects are the Francis Ford Coppola-produced
film The Florentine, featuring Mary Stuart Masterson, Hal Holbrook and
James Belushi. He has also filmed the TV flick Indiscreet with ER's Gloria
Reuben, and the motion picture Last Breath.

Perry's post-90210 projects included the Bruce Willis feature film The
Fifth Element, the TV miniseries Invasion and a guest spot on the
Michael J. Fox sitcom Spin City where he played a gay man.

Perry reportedly held out for a Fox development deal, which he got before
signing.
