See below for explanation of the direction question. At decommissioning 327 did not get a county road name.
SOUTH (WEST?) End: Hill Ave./IA 276, near 276's south end, near Spirit Lake, Dickinson County

Kurt writes that this picture "shows the termini of both IA 276 and IA 327 (they pretty much end at the junction with one another). This is the corner of 140th St. and Hill Ave." Highway 327 continues straight ahead and curves north.

Just when you thought western Iowa signage couldn't get weirder, we see this, an "East" tag for a north-south highway. Of 327's 2 miles, only 0.5 is decidedly east-west, from its south end to Orleans. If you drew lines, its ends are 1 mile apart east-west, but 1.5 miles apart north-south, giving preference to the latter. (But then again, eastern Iowa has 136, so weirdness is statewide.)
