For our last night in Prague we went out to the bar and kicked around the idea of just staying up all night because the train station was quite a ways away from our hostel and our train was leaving around 6 in the morning for Vienna. Luckily we had a couchette so we were just planned on catching up on sleep in the train. The night was not a total failure but it was only like a Tuesday night so there weren’t many people out but at about 2 am we thought maybe we should go back to the hostel sleep until 4 and then get up to go to the train station. That wasn’t such a great idea because most of the group had trouble getting up and going after just two short hours of sleep. When we left the hostel around 4:15 I gave us about a 10 percent chance of catching our train. I didn’t think we were going to find the station, we rode some public transportation risking getting a ticket which right now seems like not such a good idea because my friends had gotten a ticket for j-walking already. Anyways, Colin, Jake, Ethan, and I made it to the train on time and caught up on our rest in our couchette.
We only spent one day in Vienna. The town was absolutely beautiful. The buildings were amazing. The people spoke German but were quick with a smile and seemed really personable.

The first funny thing that happened there occurred when I went to a vienner/hotdog stand (I like German accents) and ate the best hotdog I’ve ever had. I got the last regular hotdog they had and Colin ended up with a cheese dog. When he took his first bite this huge stream of cheese shot all over the window of the vienner stand. It was sooo much cheese and it almost nailed some people. I was one of those funny moments that if your there it is ten times more funny. We rolled around laughing our heads off about that.
Then we walked around Vienna and saw great buildings. I don’t think Vienna was harmed in any wars and maybe that’s why it seems like such a magnificent city. We eventually wandered our way to Freud’s house where we met up with Amy and Nicole. Nicole’s dad’s a psycho analyst so she promised him she’d go check that place out. While she did that Colin, Ethan, Jake, and I went and had some delicious German beer.
When we were all finished with the Beer and Freud we went to an massive art museum and looked at a several floors of art. The museum was called the Leopold and I don’t think there were any really famous pieces there that you would know. We were all really really tired by the time we left there. After we left the museum the then separated group met at a restaurant/bar place and we had a pretty good dinner and quite a bit to drink. In college we usually drink to get drunk, this alcohol was consumed to insure a sleep on a couchette which can sometimes be difficult.
We then went to the train station and caught the train to Venice.
