I was told there would be an optional trip to Cassis for $20 with a group of students from Sweden. I didn’t know much about Cassis or the trip so for most of the week I hadn’t really thought about going. As the weekend approached I realized I hadn’t really made any plans and I had overheard some of my friend saying they were going. Saturday came around and I decided to just get up at 8:30 and go to the bus and see if I could still go. I was the only guy from my school who went, but that was okay, the trip was well worth the $20. The bus wasn’t full of students from Sweden and there were only maybe 6-8 people from my school on the bus. It was about a 30 minute bus ride, Cassis is near Marseille. We hiked for about 2.5-3 hours along the coast which was stunning. We ate our sack lunches near the coast where the water hits the rocks and splashes up. After the hiking we got back on the bus and went on this tiny tiny winding road through the mountains to get to the small port town of Cassis. A few friends and I ate ice cream on their beach, and just kind of roamed around the small town. The trip was really worth the Saturday. On the trip I discovered that the new camera I bought for the trip takes advantix film and I brought regular film. Hence, I don’t have many pictures from the trip but I might get some doubles some time.

i didnt have enough film for my trip to cassis...but as you can see in the background of this picture the coast scenery was spectacular to say the least...this is my friend Niki, she goes to George Washington, and she lives a couple floors below me, so when i go to the bars we usually walk together
