Brooke and I rented a car and started our journey north enroot to Boux where we were planning on spending the night at a bed and breakfast heavily recommended by Fred. Auberge the segum was spectacular. We stayed in these brick buildings in the Luberon Mountains.
We got a little frustrated on our way out of town...I think that we were thinking that navigating in France was actually more difficult that it was in reality. Driving through the Luberon Mountains were similar to driving through the Ozark Mountains in the fact that the curves, inclines, and declines inspire motion sickness in a hurry. We stopped a once for a break, and saw a lot of nice little French towns on the way up to Boux. We were really happy to finally arrive at this hidden secrete. Fred really helped us out by reserving “seven windows” for us. Seven windows appeared to be the best room in the resort and we had it to ourselves. I was so happy with everything about this place.
The dinner was amazing. We ate a very stereotypical French meal...I don’t even remember looking at a menu. I think they kind of chose for us assuming that we would like one of the many courses that they brought out. The people of Auberge were right, I liked all four courses.
