Tuesday March 18th

I love Tuesdays, especially sunny Tuesdays, because I finish class at 10:30. Monday night was a crazy night, so I didnt expect Bart to be into the center of town by the time I was finished with class. So I wore my gym clothes to class and then went to Gym Concepts until noon then I returned home with a Pizza.

We decided it would be a good idea to hike the St. Victoire mountain which is maybe 15 kilometers from Aix, we have a great view of it out of Freds apartment. The mountain was made famous by Paul Czenne who lived in Aix and often painted the mountain. Anyway, it was about 1:30 when Fred returned home he offered a ride if we wanted to go out there, and also recommended that we go to the office of tourism to find out a good way to get home. After contemplating the size of the mountain and the amount of time it would take to get there. We decided that maybe Wednesday would be better, because we could spend most of the day there.

So we headed into town, got the bus schedule which turned out to be useless but I'll get to that later. Then we decided to walk over to the “carnival?that was going on in the south of Aix. This little carnival is strange, its strange because Ive walked behind the Carnival where the carnie reside, and next to the trailers they lived in were a lot of Mercedes and a couple of porches. Something just isnt adding up.
Anyway, we walked around this little carnival, and around the sporting complex that surrounded it and eventually we started a little pickup game of soccer with some French dude. Bart loves soccer. He was all about playing, unfortunately I havent learned how to ask if someone would let us join them...however, I was able to sputter enough broken French for this guy to understand that we wanted to play, so we passed some time playing soccer. So thats how we passed the day, lots of sun, good times.

the gayest picture of the bunch....hit the gym beavis

Tuesday nights are Reggae night at bar sextius, also known as tequila night because really cheap tequila. We did a little pre-party then went to sextius for a while then we walked over to the Mistral where there was a 7 foot tall black dude dressed like shaft at the door. He wasnt letting in the door because of tongues which I later found out meant flip-flops I guess you cant wear sandals in the club. And even if I could have it would have cost me 16 euro to get in...maybe that was a good thing. So we started our really long walk home around 3 am.
