Saturday March 15th

I couldnt believe the weather for Barts first day here. I had told him through emails that it had been like 75 and sunny the whole week before he came here, and his first day was overcast and like 50. He brought all short sleeve shirts and shorts just couldnt believe that luck. Fortunately that only lasted for one day.

Obviously we were tired from the Friday night party, so we hung around the apartment for a while. The only thing that was planned for the day was to walk around and see the city, possibly make some reservations for our vacation, and maybe play some football with my friends at 2 oclock.

The travel agency closed at noon on Saturday and it was too cold nasty to play football. That leaves walking around aimlessly as our only thing to do on that nasty Saturday.

Luckily we didnt let the weather ruin the entire Saturday. Nothing like a little Absinth make the night. For those of you who dont know what absinth is, it is an alcohol that was used by Van Go to increase is creativity. To do the shot of this liquor everyone gets a spoon full of sugar and you soak the sugar in the Absinth, then you light your spoon on fire until the sugar is boiling, then you drop it in the shot, stir and take the shot. I think the whole fire thing might not be necessary but, it sure makes doing the stiff shot a lot more fun. So anyways we almost finished the bottle which was 70% alcohol-140 proof and strolled down to Ca and Jules place again Niki and James were with us for the walk.

I never really noticed the liquor kicking in. I managed to maintain composure throughout the night, but Saturday night was the night the tables had turned and Bart was the one who needed to head back. We had partied at our apartment then at Julias and Carolines, then at bar sextius, then at IPN until around 4-5 am. In Barts defense he definitely did better than I did on the Friday night. Anyway, we headed home real late picking up the nastiest piece of pizza on the way.

Oh yeah, one other side note, when we were drinking at Freds place he insisted that Jessica try a little shot of Absinth. Shes only 14, as you can imagine a shot of a 140 proof liquor might be a bit strong for poor Jessica...
