If Only My Dreams Came True

Folks, I think I'm going to share my fantasy with you. Not the one about 2 girls and whip
cream, but the one that has bright lights and a huge student section. This fantasy pertains to game of basketball, and more specificallly the GBA vs. TIT event.

When I actually got to sit on the bench for the boys varsity team last winter, all I wanted to be apart of was the pre-game warmup's; I couldn't care-less about the game itself, cause I was never going to play. I just get tickled pink when I run out of the locker room and onto the court with hundreds, if not thousands, of fans packed in the roundhouse; the pep band blasting some sweet ass song like "Eye of the Tiger", and the student section arrupting as we run past them to our end of the court.

That scoreboard should do us well

Now people, that's what I call a good entertainment event, and that is exactly what I want GBA vs. TIT to be. The closest event we have had thus far to being a "good entertainment event", is Midnight Madness 1. The pre-game had the flashlights flying around on the court, the "Chicago Bulls Warm-up song blarring", and the student section (like 7-8 people) jumping up and down with their keys just-a-jingling. I was not in the game myself, but the hair on my arms were just standing on end. It was quite the atmosphere that evening.

GBA vs. TIT is gaining quite the exposure, now all we need to do is get our shit together to make it an enjoyable event. Heres what we need:
Improvements Why?
Scoreboard and clock Games are more exciting when you have 1 minute left and your tied
Spotlight for player introductions Pumps up the players and the crowd
Microphone and Speakers To announce the starting lineups and for Tyler Peglow's play-by-play commentary
Halftime entertainment The fans are going to need something to watch while the players are regrouping; ie: Tien Thai and his breakdancing skills
Camera Men Get some new footage for The Tube and maybe get it on MET TV for prime-time exposure
Cheerleaders Better looking atmosphere
Student Sections for your favorite team Nothing beats the High School Basketball environment when you have dueling student sections screaming at each other
Referees - yes, believe it or not, we do need referees I'm getting sick of people crying about not getting a call, and then have the student section making the call for us
Pep Band - mainly Blake Oleson on drums Adds to the whole basketball environment; Plus I hear he's pretty good at those drums
