New Site...New Season

That’s right, Gordiehoops has a new look for 2003/2004. The new site layout is sure
Hager as a little guy
to be a hit with fans everywhere as GBA superstar and Webmaster John Johnson teamed up with the Wiffler web-staff to create a more interactive site. Enough about the new website look, lets talk about basketball. Last season was somewhat of a quiet year for GBA 2 on 2 tournaments, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any good times. The JV All stars and the Cave Diggers began a strong rivalry that is sure to last several years as they played some great games in front of some nice sized crowds. Another positive from 2002/2003 was the second annual Gordiehoops All-Star weekend. The slam-dunk and 3 point contests drew crowds that were unbelievable. Atleast 20 fans filled the Jungle Gym that Saturday night to watch the festivities. The All Star game itself was also a doozy as Drew Welp played the game of his career and captured MVP honors. Finally, on Saturday, the 6th of September, at Anson, the Gordiehoops team defeated T.I.T. in a sloppy, but close, Preseason game. Game 1 of the 5 game series is in the works and looks to be this Sunday evening at Miller Middle School, beginning around 7:30p.m. That’s all I have for now, I promise to write plenty this year and to write about things you the fans wanna read about. Thanks for reading!
