About Us
|
|
We've been scrapbooking for years and know what scrapbookers like. We've taken our favorite ideas from the crops we've attended, and the ideas of our fellow scrapbook and stamping artists and combined them to bring you what promises to be a great scrapbook and stamping getaway. Our Retreats are an opportunity to indulge in your favorite activity. We strive to provide plenty of space and uninterrupted time to work on your projects. At our larger crops there are even classes, yummy snacks and beverages, lot's of prizes and contests, and plenty of vendors for you to find the exact supply you need for your project. All of this at a price that you can afford!
We hope that you will
be our guests on board the S.S. Red Fox on May 3 and 4 in Waverly, and
check back often for more information on upcoming crops that we are
planning in other areas of Iowa.

Your Hostesses: |
|
| Cindy
(left) and Kris (right) launched Heartland Crops in the fall of 2001. After
hearing a lot of complaints about big cropping events never being held
in Eastern Iowa and a failed attempt by Kris to get one of the major
industry conventions to take a look at holding one in Cedar Rapids, they
decided to do it themselves. After a successful two-day event last
November and a fun-filled Super Bowl event in February, Cindy and Kris
began making plans for a larger, combined scrapbooking and stamping
retreat in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Kris began scrapbooking in 1995. After years of woodcrafts, needlecrafts, and enjoying almost every other type of "craft" available including stamping, she found that working on her memory albums was what she enjoyed most. Her scrapbooking high points include being published in Memory Makers Magazine, starting Heartland Crops with Cindy, and working part time at her local scrapbook store. She is the mother of four children, ranging from elementary to high school age, and wife to Gary. Cindy discovered scrapbooking in 1997 and her other hobbies were quickly put aside! Her three children and husband Jim give her plenty of reason to scrapbook. She became a consultant for Scrap In A Snap in July of 2001 and has enjoyed the many opportunities it has brought her. |
