How to Join Circle Swim Aquatics

The minimum requirements to join CSA are being able to swim 50 meters of freestyle as well as 50 meters of either one of the following strokes of breastroke, backstroke or butterfly.

If these requirements cannot be met, we highly recommend inquiring into the Grinnell Recreation Tigershark Swim Team and/or taking private lessons from either some of the College or High School CSA members as an alternative until the requirements can be met. If you are from one of the surrounding communities, you may want to see what your community has to offer.

The costs associated with the 2008 Circle Swim Aquatics season are as follows:

  • A pool pass to the Grinnell Municipal Pool for those that are practicing there.
**(Must buy through the Recreation Dept.)**
Below are the fees for this year:
    • Individual Lap Pass - $45.00 (Commonly used for swim practices.)
    • Individual Big Pool Pass - $60.00 (For all pool time in the big pool.)
    • Siblings Pass - $105.00 (All school age children in immediate family, no parents.)
    • Family Pass - $125.00 (All members of the immediate family.)

  • Coaching Fees:
    • Individual Swimmers - $60.00 for the season
    • Family Swimmers - $90.00 for the season
For those athlete's and/or families that need other special arrangements, please talk to the coaches. We are willing to work with you.

  • If you are working with a coach from another community with another swim club (other than a USA Swim Club) and wish to participate in meets as a member of the CSA Swim Team, you will still need to pay the $38.50 fee as well as $10.00 per swim meet. Perferably we would like you to swim with the team at least once a week to work with other team members for relays and help preserve some team stability. From the $10.00 you will get one free day of entry into the Grinnell Municipal Pool. If you decide to practice more then that, please talk to the coaches.

  • As for the swim meets the athlete's choose to participate in, there are some additional costs involved. They are explained more in depth on the meet information sheets when they are passed out to the athletes. All meet costs, transportation, lodging, food and drinks are the responsibility of the athlete's and their families.

  • Please note that these fees are non-refundable.
