I met my new vet yesterday.....I really like her. I fussed some when she clipped toenails but I didn't even notice my shots!
Mom taught me this really neat trick. If I SIT when she tells me too...sometimes I get a SCOOBY SNACK!
Mom says I am smart.....but stubborn...I have NO CLUE what she means by that! Maybe it has something to do with my names.Most dogs get 1, I have 3! Most of the time it's just "Cheyenne" but when I am playing outside and its time to come in, it's "Cheyenne Come Here NOW" over and over and over again....and when I am using someones toes or the couch as a chew toy its "Cheyenne NO!"

What have a done for last month?? Well...I have GROWN.... alot!
I went for my first boat ride a few days ago! Mom says I did really good and if I learn to lay still I can go all the time.
Mom says I am still stubborn, but it IS wearing off a little bit. I am starting some "scent training" and REALLY like the pheasant wing. I would rather not give it back someimes, but Mom makes me. I like to go for walks but get pretty distracted during the daytime. There is to darn much to look at!! Most of the time I can sit, down and give you 5...... it helps if a treat is involved! I have almost got it down that when we walk and Mom stops, I am suppose to sit....I forget sometimes.....I'd remember if she would bring treats on our walks!
I took an intrest in interior decorating and REALLY thought the kitchen table should have the "distressed look"...Dad was NOT happy. Mom got me a Cow Hoof and I LOVE IT. She says "that thing stinks...but its worth it!!" I haven't touched the table since. Now if she could just find something to make be stop digging in the dirt she'd be happy! Especially the dirt that the tree in the livingroom is planted in. Did I mention the carpet in that room WAS white??
Hey...did you know my Mom is hiding some other dogs in her bedroom?? I saw them!! Mom doesn't call them dogs though...she called them "mirrors"....I like talking to them...they talk back! Wish they would come out and play!

Whatta month! Whew! My dad had a week of vacation so I got to do ALOT of boating! I think there is a picture of me boating closer to the bottom of the page.
I gave everyone a good scare this month when I developed a large (size of half a tennis ball) between my hip and back. Ends up I had a reaction to my Lyme disease shot. The lump went away after 3 weeks. I have to have that same shot again...Moms not happy.
I love to be outside. I watch the birds (veeeeeeeerrry carefully) bunnies and squirrels. I listen to all the sounds and wonder where they are coming from.
My Puppy shots will be over very soon, so Mom says I get to go to school now. She says it is the place where I will lose my names "STUBBORN" and "TROUBLE"....HAHA!! I think it is FUNNY when I get called that!

Looking so innocent.............Mom, its HOT in here..........The leash STILL wins!

Hello again!
This month I started school! I go to a place called ROVERS RANCH. Its a dog park with HUGE fenced areas where dogs can run to their hearts content without a leash. I have only just started there but I think I will really like it (as soon as I get use to the BIG DOGS there) and I hope to get in some playtime as well as class time. I am the youngest in my class and other then the Jack Russell Terrier, I am pretty much the smallest! (For the moment!) Our instructors name is Darcy and I like her ALOT cause, thanks to her...I get LOTS of treats!
I AM a Retriever...but I have another talent too.....I can POINT. I can! I pointed a mouse for Bubby just the other day! Mom says I am also part NannyGoat as I have a real taste for papertowels and napkins. She keeps telling me "No! Thats Nasty"......Hmmpff! Lot she knows! She hasn't tried one!
It's gotten REALLY hot outside....its not so bad in my yard cause we have trees (complete with birds and squirrels to aggervate) but my FAVORITE spot is sleeping on the air conditioner vent under the kitchen table!

Still missing that ear!..................... PLAYBALL!..................EXTREME CLOSEUP!

Hi! Well...here it is. The big 6 month mark! Mom says I am lucky to have made this far! I have no idea what she is talking about...I am an ANGEL! (Mom says "HA!")
I am still going to school, and I am still not sure about those BIG DOGS. I don't get alot of exercise in the BIG DOG AREA cause I spend my time in there under the bench close to Moms feet. I am much happier playing with my buddy SPIDER (Jack Russell) in the LITTLE DOGS area.
My trainer at school gave my Mom (and some of the other parents) an idea to get some of us to stop "counter surfing". She said "Go home and place a cookie sheet half on the counter and half off. When your dog jumps up to the counter the cookie sheet will come crashing down. After a time or 2 they won't do it again" HEEEEHEEEHAAA!!! I was listening to Darcy and when Mom went home and tried it...I ever so gently placed that cookie sheet between my teeth and even more gently laid it on the floor! TRY AGAIN MOM and DARCY!!!
Today I was HELPING mom with the grocery list. I got her coupon holder off the the counter and spread them all out on the kitchen floor so we could pick the ones she needed. I ate the ones I thought were expired.
I also like to help with the laundry. I use to swipe things out of the dryer when Mom was folding but she put a stop to that. Now, I sit and watch ....but I MUST TOUCH each piece that comes out with my nose and mouth. Mom says "thats annoying"...I wish the pet psychic would come and tell her that I am JUST CHECKING FOR APRIL FRESHNESS!!! Geeez!

Mom decided I wasn't allowed to chew on the kitchen table anymore.....so now my favorite thing in the WHOLE world is this cow hoof!!!! Yummy AND Stinky!
