I bet you are wondering who we are and what we are all about huh.

Well, we (collectively) are Spotted Eagle's Feathered Exotic Rescues, a non profit organization of dedicated bird lovers and owners located in beautiful and historic Burlington, Iowa located on the IA/Ill border.

I am Julie Spotted Eagle Horse Cooper, and I run an aviary and a rescue with my sister/business partner Trina Brockett and my husband, Floyd Cooper Jr. and we are located in scenic and historic Burlington, Iowa on the IA/Ill border, and we are located about 20 minutes from MO.

We got in to rescuing after seeing several birds who needed homes desperately but for whatever reason were passed over.

I have since made it a priority to take in birds who need homes, either on a permanent or a foster basis, and place them in to good adoptive homes when I can, or give them a forever home here when a forever home cannot be found, or there are circumstances that prevent the bird(s) from being adopted out.

We belive that everyone deserves a home where they will NOT be bred, or abused, and they will be loved for the remainder of their lives.

Spotted Eagle's Feathered Exotic Rescues exists seperately from Spotted Eagle's Flight Aviary, and we do not belive in breeding rescued or fostered birds.

I specialize in behavioural problems, hormonal birds, and special needs birds, as they are usually the ones in the most dire need of a good home. It is rewarding beyond words to rehabilitate a bird who has a problem of one kind or another, and then place them in to a forever home.
