WARNING!

This page may not look as I intended if you are using an old browser. Also, this page is meant to expain who I am and to amuse. A problem that many people have is that they find themselves or their lives interesting. Usually this is not actually the case. I suffer from the same flaw. That being said, I now feel free to type whatever drivel I see fit. Endure.

ENDURE

Me...

I am just another 26 year old with a negative world view. Cynical, disgusted, bitter, apathetic when my head is clear, and hopeful to a fault. I am somewhat intelligent, mildly amusing, posses a moderate degree of wit and charm, fairly educated, and reasonably attractive. I didn't plan on being what I am today. I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a kid, but here I am... Twenty-six years old with a bachelor's degree working on a trivial web page. It all works out in the end...or you die. Fortunately there is booze for the moments in between.

This paragraph should be exceptional. Really put the hook into the visitors. Sublime, divine, or otherwise. It isn't and it won't be. Hell, not even a complete paragraph.

What do I want? I want to wake up and smile an honest smile each day. I want to shake some joy out of the world for myself. I want a life of leisure and my books, work is for the workers. I do love Karl Marx, but I refuse to believe my existence is determined by what I produce/do/my job.

Read "Factotum" by Bukowski, "Tropic of Cancer" by Miller, and "Journey to the End of Night" by Celine. Listen to more jazz, early Miles Davis especially. If you do not remember how good Stevie Wonder is, then pick up a recording of his and remind yourself. Hate timeclocks. Write more poetry, but do your friends a favor and never read or show it to them.

I smoke far too many cigarettes and thoughts of a premature death haunt me at times. Those thoughts are one of the reason for the page. If something bad happens, at least I left a little something behind. Life is short but sweet for certain. Read a Henry Miller book, drink some wine, and exploit the finer aspects of life. I should be doing that instead of working on this page. You should be doing that instead of reading this page!

There are links further down the page. One of them is a story in progress dealing with a bit of my experience in the coffee business. Another lists quotations from books that I found amusing. There is a link that goes into detail about an online game that I play called Monarchy. Other links will be added as I come up with them. Sign the guestbook below if you wish. There is an email link somewhere on the page if you feel the urge to contact me. I update this page often so try to stop by now and then.
