| This year we thought we'd be more retro, and journey back to the
1970s and 1980's and resurrect some of the General Mill's monster cereal gang. Being Halloween, we thought we'd try a monster flavor, and decided on some
friendly ghouls. Many of you have probably heard of Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry. The trio was easy to come up with, but we need a
quartet. Finding the fourth required a bit of research. As luck would have it, we had a choice between a cereal called Fruit Brute
which featured a werewolf, and another called Yummy Mummy featuring a mummy. Our daughter chose the colorful mummy!
Our quartet consisted of Yummy Mummy played by Ashlynn, Boo Berry performed by Bryan, Frankenberry portrayed by Julie, and finally Count Chocula came to life thru Dave.
As usual we put too much effort into our costumes and float, but once we start, we never know where to stop. Usually the deadline of the parade dictates our stopping point!
We really try to give a good show for the community who venture out in the cold weather to witness the ghouls and gobblins.
This makes it our sixth year now for the Parade marching. This year more than any other the kids were really excited about the parades, and really enjoyed their characters and
costumes. We hate to see halloween come to an end.
