DIFL Keck Family with DIFL for Halloween
This year we organized our parade entry with the DIFL
(Dubuque Independent Football League). Our entire family participated with the football league in the fall. As part of our float concept, we created a 2 large bobbleheads made of paper mache. These bobbleheads were about 6 feet tall. One was a football player, and the other was a Cheerleader. The night of the parade, we had over 180 football players and cheerleaders participate in the march in Dubuque.

pinewood derby Pinwood Derby Mario Kart Wild Wing and Luigi
Bryan and Dad build their first pinewood derby car! It's their attempt at making a replica of the Mario Kart Wild Wing driven by Luigi. The cub scouts voted it as Most Unique Car at their annual pinewood derby race for pack 100 this year. The race was help on Jan 21, 2011 at Carver Elementary. Check out a few photos of this cool little car, and a little narrative about the building of our little toy car.

Little Mermaid The Keck Family Halloweens
Guess what? We did it again! Another year of celebrating halloween and participating in the local parades. This time to the depths of the sea! We decided to do a disney theme and become the cast of the Little Mermaid. We became Ariel the Little Mermaid, Sebastian the loveable lobster, King Triton the ruler of the sea, and Ursula the sea witch. We enjoyed the entire experience again and the kids had more fun than ever.

We took a trip back in time and resurrected Frankenberry, count Chocula, Boo Berry, and the short lived Yummy Mummy. After we presented the idea to the kids, Ashlynn wanted to be Yummy Mummy, and Bryan had his heart set on Boo Berry. We really had a great time once again! More than ever this year!

Since our marriage we've always enjoyed Halloween. Once the kids were arrived, we decided to build memories by making a tradition out of the Halloween season. Check out our last few years of family Halloween costumes. It's a lot of work, but we hope the memories made will last a lifetime for our youngsters and all who get to see them.
