"Looking for any info on Lucy Tecusia Grady (b Tremont, Itawamba Co. MS) married Floyd Marion Robinson. Her father was Samuel H. (possible Henry?) Grady, mother (?). Lucy and Floyd had a couple of children that I know of... George Samuel Robinson and Guyle Robinson. George S. Robinson was born in 1893 in Rara Avis MS."
Response, 2 May 2000, by Jackson Lee Grady (jjgrady101@@aol.com; sent e-mail 9 Mar 2001)
"Samuel H. Grady was the brother of my grandfather, Leroy Brown Grady, of Chambers County, Alabama. Samuel was born 1843 and on 5 November, ?, he married Tecusah Smith. He served in the 8th Confederate Cavalry and after the war moved to Mississippi. His father was my great-grandfather, William Jackson Grady, who was one of the early settlers of Chambers County, Alabama, after the Creek Indians were removed. His mother was Caroline Brown Grady."
Response, 3 May 2000, from Kay Music:
"Yes! Lucy Tecusia GRADY, d/o Samuel H. GRADY, b 8/13/1843, d 8/5/1902 and T.C. (?) GRADY, b 4/26/1847, d 11/16/1882. Samuel then married E.A. (?) GRADY. Please contact me at my other address lmusic1@@bellsouth.net. PLEASE contact me. I got a picture of Lucy last night. She was a beautiful woman."
Response, , Jan Lawrence (tjlaw@@ktc.com; e-mailed 9 Mar 2001):
"Our direct is Sophia L. Grady who was Samuel's sister."
[research note: Assuming that our Sam Grady, father of Webb Money Grady, is the same Samuel Grady listed with his parents in 1850 Federal Census, Chambers County, Alabama - and therefore the same Samuel Grady referenced in the above queries]
