I am 37 years old with a beautiful wife, Tina, and three children. Their names are Ryan, Stephen, and Kalyn. We live in Fort Dodge, Iowa which is located in the north-central part of the state. I have been employed for the past eleven years as a Trooper with the Iowa State Patrol.

I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on July 23, 1999. I serve as Assistant District Commander for the District #7 area. I previously served as the Safety Education Officer for the seven-county area known as District #7. The counties included are: Webster, Hamilton, Calhoun, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Wright, and Kossuth. I gave safety programs to all sorts of groups, schools, clubs, civic groups, companies, etc. My major interests are my kids, computers, internet, golf, and beginning patch collecting. I have completed making a display of all of the State Police / Highway Patrol patches in the United States plus the District of Columbia. I spent about three months trading patches on the Internet and I now have made trades to complete my display. This State Police patch display was used at many presentations I gave so that others may enjoy the many different unique styles that make police patches so interesting to collect. I'm also a big NASCAR racing fan. A true fan in that I love Dale Earnhardt - "The Intimidator". He's the greatest!! I've been busy with work, kids but really love the time I get with the family. I am very excited about my new promotion and look forward to the many challenges ahead for me.
